THE GARDENING COMPETITION 2025
This year, the Gardening Competition is sponsored by Fothergill's

Fothergill’s is a British company that’s been around since 1870. They’re well known for selling seeds, plants, and gardening products. They offer everything from flower and veggie seeds to tools and compost. It’s a family-run business, and their products are popular with gardeners of all levels.
Additional activities:
• Track Growth: The People we support, and Team Members will need to collect data on planting and blooming, sharing results with Fothergills to compare growth across the UK.
• Garden Diary: Monthly updates with pictures and a short paragraph increase your chances of winning and allow our sponsor to offer advice!
• Planting Schedule: A guide will be provided.
HOW TO ENTER
Register at events@plcl.org.uk with your contact details and setting.
We encourage entrants to transform an outdoor space using flowers, fruits, or vegetables, creating a lasting benefit for their setting. The People we support should be involved, and projects should reflect the purpose and values of the setting.
The Phoenix Gardening Competition is more than just creating a beautiful space, it’s about teamwork, creativity, and making a lasting impact. We want to see how you’ve involved the People we support in planning, planting, and caring for your garden. Whether you’re growing flowers, fruits, or vegetables, your project should reflect the purpose and values of your setting, bringing learning and well-being to life. Share your journey with us through photos and a short written piece, capturing how your garden has transformed over time.
We’re looking for originality, ambition, and the positive impact your work has had on those around you. Most importantly, enjoy the process, it’s about more than just the final result!
