Oakwood Court College is a Post-16 Independent Specialist College for day and residential learners with learning disabilities and complex needs.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Personal Development (PSE) Tutor seeking to further their career in SEN and Complex needs. You will be part of an educational team at the college, working to increase the independence, health and vocational development of all the learners, to achieve the best transition and accommodation outcomes into adulthood. The successful candidate will lead interactive and engaging sessions both in the classroom and in the local community and produce high-quality teaching resources and guidance material for use within lessons.

This post requires a committed SEN Personal Development Tutor who has a ‘Good’ or better record from observations in the classroom and previous experience working with learners who experience social, emotional, behavioural and mental health issues. The right tutor will have a sympathetic approach when working with learners with barriers to their learning and a calm approach that helps them quickly deal with disruptions.

Our Support Workers are the heartbeat of our organisation. We  are seeking Support Workers to join our friendly, dynamic teams in Dawlish who have the enthusiasm and empathy to  support our young adults with Autism and associated  behaviours.

You will, ideally, have already achieved a Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (adults) or equivalent or be excited by the prospect of gaining a recognised qualification with full financial and practical support from us.

You will preferably hold a current driving licence, be able to remain calm in difficult situations and willing to work night shifts to cover our 24 hour operation.

Vacancies Available: Bridgwater, Tiverton

Pay: £8.00 to £8.75 per hour (with time and a half over 40 hours)

Job type: Full Time & Part Time

Our support workers are the heartbeat of our organisation. We seek a variety of Support Workers to join our friendly, dynamic teams across our organisation including full time, night waking and bank roles.

Whilst experience in the care sector is preferred, we also want to hear from you if you have a real desire to learn the skills required to ensure all Children and Young People within our care flourish.

It is a requirement that all our Support Workers hold the Diploma Level 3 in Social Care with the Childcare Pathway, so you will either already hold this (or equivalent), or be excited by the prospect of gaining a recognised qualification with full financial and practical support from us.

You must be willing to work shifts to cover our 24 hour operation and ideally be a car driver.

In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary linked to qualifications plus additional allowances.
